Cape Terrigan until they reach Level 70.
In Bibiki Bay you will be fighting exclusively Hobgoblins, which each have a specific job.
Hobgoblin Alastors are DRK and can do the full range of Absorb-stat spells. Anglers
should not be levelled on until Level 69 because they have high HP and deal a lot of
melee damage. You will not have the AGI or armor to deal with them until then.
Animaliers are the toughest Hobgoblins around in this area, because of their BST job and
the high-level pets they summon. Expect 150-200 HP damage with each hit. They also
have extremely high defense so enfeebling against it is required. Blaggers have high AGI
but not specific job. Parties are required because of the long battle and the high amount
of damage the Blaggers do versus the relatively low damage you will do because of their
high evasion. The Fascinators can be soloed at Level 64. They are BLM and have
practically every spell in the arsenal, so be sure to buff before going into battle against
them, and if you have a WHM/RDM sub or one in your party cast the full array of Bar
spells before engaging. The Martialist is a MNK who does double attacks and do a
powerful Goblin Rush multiple attack that can cause up to 750 HP damage. However,
they are relatively weak compared to other Hobgoblins and can be soloed at Level 63.
The Physician is a WHM and can heal themselves, so magic is necessary to enfeeble
them. The Toreadors are RDMs and have lethal sword skills. The Venerer is a RNG and
will drop the Venerer Ring, part of the expansion. They have low HP and can be fought in
parties at Level 62.
Moving on to Cape Teriggan, where you will be fighting Pugils and standard Goblins,
congratulate yourself. You have nearly capped your levels in FFXI. As far as Goblins go
you can pick and chose, but I personally like to level on Goblin Alchemists. They are
WHM so healing is the most pesky thing you need to worry about and their scroll drops
are excellent and will make you good money. Try to stay away from Bandits, which are
THF and will take gil and items. Mercenaries are high-level WARs and the Shepheard is
a BST who has a low-level pet which can give out quick XP.

OVERVIEW
Congratulations. You have bested everything FFXI has to offer and now you are allowed
into Dynamis, that hellish alternate dimension of the gods. There are six Dynamis areas
in all, and each is a darker, more evil version of the true area in the game. You have a set
time limit inside each Dynamis zone that can be extended when you kill the zone boss
(NM) and examine the ??? for the key item stating you have completed the area. You
must complete each Dynamis area before moving on to the more advanced one.
Some reward, huh? A brief overview of each area is below, and a complete list of NM s
for after Level 71 is in Chapter 13.
To access Dynamis travel to Xarcabard when you have reached A) Level 64 and B) Fame
Rank 6 in your home nation. Give this item and one million gil to Antiqix, who is usually
found in Castle Oztroja. You will receive an hourglass in return. Trade it to the Trail
Markings in Xarcabard will give you back an altered hourglass. Trade it back once again
and your time in Dynamis will begin. Use it well. You will have one real-time hour to start.
About Dynamis: Bastok
Boss: Gu Dha Effigy
Tips: Can cast Death, which deals& well& instant death. Utsusemi: Ni may be able to
deflect this and give you a second shot.
About Dynamis: Windurst
Boss: Tzee Xciu Idol
Tips: Uses a doomsday spell that will kill any player it hits instantly after a ten-second
delay. There is no way to beat this boss except to have a WHM standing by for a raise
and a large enough party (30+) to keep fighting when you go down.
About Dynamis: San d Oria
Boss: Overlord s Tombstone
- 56 -
Final Fantasy XI Ninja Guide
Tips: Has doomsday spell, can cast Bind, Sleep and Gravity on Multiple Party Members at
once. Activates every Tombstone in the area for a link when attacked. A RDM sub with
Dispell is very, very useful in defeating this mob.
About Dynamis: Jeuno
Boss: Goblin Golem
Tips: The easiest boss in Dynamis, the Golem calls Goblins when attacked but with a
party of 15+ with evenly distributed skills I have found this is an easy kill. Your primary
role here will probably be tank.
About Dynamis: Beaucedine Glacier
Required: Clear Bastok, San D oria, Windurst and Jeuno
Boss: Angra Mainyu
Tips: This boss is an RDM and will use Death and Chainspell. Be prepared to absorb a
lot of magic damage and to have someone in your party cast Silence. The Ninja would do
well to try enfeebling Ninjitsu.
About Dynamis: Xarcabard
Requirements: Clear Beaucedine Glacier
Boss: Dynamis Lord
