he will give you a Rare/EX Item called Shu-Meyo Salt.
If you do not have the time to farm Cluster Cores, browse player bazaars in Jeuno.
The cores sell for relatively cheap.
6.5.6. Medications
The fight against the Snoll Tzar is very brief, so bring low delay medications. Standard
battle foods, Yagudo Drinks, Ethers, Reraise items, Icarus Wings, and Wing Gorgets (for
jobs that do not have the means to use Samurai main or subjob).
6.5.7. Key Jobs
The Snoll Tzar fight strategy is focused on inflicting as much damage possible in less than
a minute. Red Mages, Black Mages, Samurai, Monks and Rangers are highly
recommended.
6.5.8. Bearclaw Pinnacle BCNM: The Snoll Tzar
This BC fight is by far one of the more exciting battles in CoP. Unlike most of the other
BC s, it is very brief and very hectic. When you enter the BC, make sure all melee have
an Icarus Wing, Samurai main or subjob or Wing Gorgets for TP gain. The BC timeframe
is 30 minutes, so your group has plenty of time to prepare. Recommended preparartion
time once inside the BC is 15 minutes.
The Snoll Tzar gains size every 10-15 seconds. The average time before the Snoll Tzar
explodes is 45 seconds. If he is allowed to gain full size and Self-Destruct, the BC fight is
over and your party will be kicked out. In addition, all party members still alive will receive
the affect of Slip, which reduces HP at an alarming rate for about 15 seconds.
Create a Shu-Meyo Salt order. A helpful macro is outlined below:

/party Using Shu-Meyo Salt #1
/item Shu-Meyo Salt
Shu-Meyo salt will delay the Snoll Tzar from gaining in size. With size, comes heavier
damage, and the impending Self-Destruct.
Important Note: Shu-Meyo Salt has a very large delay, so make sure that party members
such as White Mages are not stuck carrying one, as they have duties to heal the party.
Assign salts to party members who will do the least amount of melee damage (e.g.
Paladins).
If you have a Paladin tank in the party, it is highly recommended that he bring Samurai
subjob for Spirits Within.
Meditate or gain TP to the appropriate levels and apply standard buffs. In addition, White
Mages should cast Barblizzara spell on all party members.
When everyone is buffed and TP is ready, the Paladin should flash and engage the Snoll
Tzar with the Weapon Skill Spirits Within. Immediately after using Spirits Within, the
Paladin should use the Two-Hour Ability Invincible and use a Shu-Meyo Salt.
Mages should stand away from the front of the Snoll Tzar. The NM has a cone directional
breath attack that will kill support jobs almost immediately.
Melee damage dealers should unload all TP, use an Icarus Wing and repeat the process.
Two-hour Abilities are highly recommended for all melee jobs.
Red Mages also should use the Two-Hour Ability Chainspell, casting Fire spells
repeatedly.
Black Mages may choose to use two-hour abilities or simply cast Flare or Firaga spells.
Once you have defeated the Snoll Tzar, watch the cutscene and report back to Cid.
*Author s Note: If you are unable to defeat the Snoll Tzar expending all two-hour abilities,
it is recommended that your group wait for another day or two hours. This BC fight is very
difficult to beat without two-hour abilities.
6.6. Completing Chapter 5
Now that you have completed all three paths, you may move on to the next challenging
missions. Congratulations! However, the most difficult fight is right around the corner.

7. Chapter 6: Echoes of Time
It is time to head back to Jeuno and speak to Pherimociel in the Ru Lude Gardens
Armory. Afterwards, head to the Marble Bridge s Eatery for a cutscene and then to
Ru Lude Gardens for another cutscene.
Mission Title Change: A Place to Return
Enter the Grand Duke s Palace in Ru Lude Gardens for another cutscene. This should
direct you to head out to the Dilapidated Gate in Misareux Coast at (I-11). Make sure you
are not by yourself for this, because checking the gate will spawn three Detector NM s. A
party of six in the Level 65-75 range should have no problems defeating them. The best
strategy is to sleep two of them and kill off each one individually. Check the gate again for
another cutscene and report back to Pherimociel. Your last cutscene should be in the
Ducal Guard Audience Room near the Armory.
Mission Title Change: More Questions than Answers
Head to Selbina and speak to Mathilde in the Clothcraft Guild. Report to Cid in Bastok of
your findings.

7.1. Sealion s Den BCNM: Airship Battle
This is by far the most difficult BCNM in the entire CoP campaign. Defeating this 45-
minute BC will take patience, intelligence, money and dedication. Before continuing,
please be aware that this fight will take some groups multiple tries before victory is
achieved.
It s time to set your Home Point in Tavnazian Safehold for awhile during this grueling BC.
You and your group have access to the Jeuno AH and should have no problems
purchasing supplies.
This is a three-prong fight, and a section will be dedicated to each portion of this battle.
7.1.1. Preparation
Level Cap: 60
Difficulty: Extremely Hard
Number in Party/Alliance: 6 person party maximum
To activate this BCNM, your party will need to enter the Sealion s Den located in the
basement of Tavnazian Safehold. To enter the BC, check the Iron Grate.

*Author s Note: Time is very important in this BC. Once you enter the BC, the clock is
ticking. The first 5 minutes of the Airship battle is a cutscene. Once that cutscene is done
you will be teleported to the deck of the airship. Before entering the first level, use the
door to head back outside. As long as you do not zone out of Sea Lion s Den, you may
enter the BC again, without having to watch the cutscene. This will save you five minutes
when you actually do the BC.
Before your CoP group plans on fighting the Airship BC, make sure you have sufficient
funds (cannot stress this more) to support multiple runs. Your group will need a variety of
medications and a very expensive/time consuming Key Item to succeed in this fight.
